Tanya Bamniyal, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, has ordered Ms. Atishi Marlena to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court on June 29. Last month, BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor. launched a defamation suit against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Ms Marlena over poaching claims made by them. The two claimed that BJP leaders solicited Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders to join them in exchange for payment, according to Mr Kapoor in court. In his court application, Mr Kapoor highlighted a social media post by Mr Kejriwal (of Jan 27) in which he said that the BJP approached seven AAP MLAs and offered ₹25 crores to poach them. He noted that AAP leaders have never provided any evidence to back up their 'false' assertions.
